Vermeer has announced a limited release of electric tree care equipment concepts for field validation with selected customers. The lineup includes the BX1000XL electric brush chipper for the North American market, the BC200 electric brush chipper for the European market, the SC30TX electric stump cutter, and the S450TX electric mini skid steer. The machines will be placed with a select group of customers globally so Vermeer can gather direct feedback from tree care and landscaping professionals working in real-world conditions. The company says the program will help guide future product development and refinement. Vermeer is positioning the effort around quieter operation, zero emissions, lower maintenance needs, and changing customer and regulatory expectations. The electric models are based on proven equipment platforms and are intended to test how battery-powered machines perform on actual jobsites.
